There will be several FutureGrid-related activities at the TeraGrid 2010 conference:

August 2nd, 8am-noon: Tutorial: "Cloud technologies, data-intensive science and the TG", Scott McCaulay, Judy Qiu, Marlon Pierce, Rich Knepper
August 3rd, 5pm: Birds of Feather: "New Compute Systems in the TeraGrid Pipeline(Part 1)"
August 3rd, 7pm, poster/reception, "Sky Computing on FutureGrid and Grid'5000" (poster by Pierre Riteau et al)
August 4th, 10am, EOT track, "Virtual Appliances for Training and Education in FutureGrid" (presentation by Renato Figueiredo et al)

Vampir Workshop 2010

Performance Analysis using the Vampir Toolchain

Vampir is a performance analysis tool developed by the Center for Information Services and High Performance Computing (ZIH) at the Technische Universität Dresden, Germany. It can be used to diagnose performance problems of serial and parallel applications. The latest version supports MPI, OpenMP and PThread parallel applications. Vampir is available on the BigRed and Quarry HPC systems at IU and will be used in the FutureGrid project.

The workshop was organized jointly by ZIH and the High Performance Applications (HPA) group of Research Technologies and was held on April 21st, in the Innovation Center and the Wrubel Computing Center on the IU Bloomington campus.
